Breaking news: Tension, as High Chief Ikechi Emenike’s alleged 3-storey Building collapses, traps mother, child in close building
Just like the tsunami, a three-storey building, allegedly owned by High Chief Ikechi Emenike, a popular politician and stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abia State, suddenly collapsed, and constricted the wife of a man popularly known as Ala-Owerri (name withheld) and her daughter.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, around the stroke of 2:55am.
The victims who are occupants of a neighbouring building in the area, according to reports, were in a deep sleep as the tall building collapsed on the top of theirs, leaving them incarcerated and terribly injured.
Famousreporters.com who visited the scene learnt that the husband of the victim, an Engineer, was not around when the tsunamic incident took place.

According to an eyewitness account, the woman and her child who sustained severe injuries while they were trapped in the collapsed building have been rushed to the hospital.
Hear him:
“The frightening incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, around the stroke of 3:am.
“The occupant of the house, Ala-Owerri works in a road construction company and was not around during the incident. Only his wife and children. But, thank God that no life was lost.
The three storey building is located at Low cost area, in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
The shocking incident left people in the neighbourhood, as well as passers-by worried, as they wondered why the three different three-storey building, had been reportedly abandoned uncompleted for several years.
Another eyewitness who pleaded for anonymity told our Correspondent that:
“The incident affected some occupants of a building behind, and left some of them badly injured. The poor woman and her child have been rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.”
Meanwhile, a Facebook user, Benjamin Eze, in a viral video has this to say: “Reporting from Low-cost. Around 2:55am this morning, part of this building collapsed. This is a three-three storey building on three sides; part of it collapsed last night. It was just like a tsunami and dragged another neighbouring building which was occupied by one woman and her daughter. They were rescued by the help of people around. We’re calling on the government to step in, this building has been here for decades, unattended to and from the information gathered, this building belongs to High Chief Ikechi Emenike. The building has been like this for years, unattended to. I mean, the sinking was so disastrous that the neighbourhood was trembling. So, please, the Governor should step in and the worst is that some of these Hausa people are living in the remnants. Anything can happen at any time. The remaining one is now bending. Please, the Governor should step in and know what to do.”

Famousreporyers.com gathered that the General Manager of Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA), Mr. Kingsley Agomoh was present.
When contacted, a former stakeholder of the party (name withheld) expressed utter sadness over the incident and prayed for God’s intervention in the lives of the victims.
He, however, told our Reporter that he was no longer working with High Chief Emenike and as such, knew nothing about him.
“May God help the victims. But, I’m not working with Chief Emenike anymore and so I don’t know anything about him anymore”, he proclaimed.
Meanwhile, at the time of the press, all efforts by Famous Reporters to reach High Chief Ikechi Emenike proved futile as his phone number consistently showed “Line busy”.
