BREAKING NEWS: Mixed Reactions as Natasha Akpoti completes 6 months suspension

Mixed reactions have trailed the announcement of the completion of six (6) months suspension from the National Assembly, by the senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti

The news was contained in a post by Arise News shared on its verified X handle (formerly known as Twitter), on Saturday, September 6.

It would be recalled that the Kogi lawmaker was suspended after she was accused of violating Senator rules during a sitting at the National Assembly. Moreso, it is also important to note that after her suspension, which began March 6, 2025.
This is following her allegation of sexual harassment levelled against the former governor of Akwa Ibom state and current Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

According to reports, the Kogi lawmaker has now served out the suspension which began on March 6, 2025.

The post has educed several reactions from social media users, with many congrarulating her while some criticised her for the damage her sexual harassment accusation against the Senate President and the country in general.

Ed Jacobs in his verified account reprimanded the embattled Senator for dragging the entire nation the image of the Senate President thus bringing the entire nation to ridicule before her sister nations.
