The entire people of Afaraukwu Ibeku, in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, the home town of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB are currently running helter-skelter as the area is flooded with fierce looking armed military men.

Famous Reporters was reliably informed by some sources in the neighborhood that residents of the community are have been engulfed in utter fear as the why of the presence of the troops in their armored tanker cannot yet be ascertained.

A release made available to Famous Reporters by IPOB’ s state media, Chibueze Uchemchukwu reads:

“Just now, Nine (9) Military Vans, two (2) Armored tanker Piranha APC, Armed Nigeria Army Patrol from Bank road to Flow FM, right now, the Army have blocked the entrance street to Eze Kanu’s Palace, in Isiama Afarukwa, Umuahia with their Van, Walking round the community on their foot”, it stated.

“Situation report from Afarukwa Umuahia hometown of the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”.

Famous Reporters also gathered that activities in the area have been put on hold, as shops have been shutdown while people can no longer continue with their normal businesses and activities.

Meanwhile, Famous Reporters recalls that the funeral ceremony of the late parents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been slated for February 14.
