Anambra Police Arrest Five Suspects Over Armed Robbery, Vandalism at International Company

“Anambra Police arrest five suspects over armed robbery and vandalism at an international company in Agulu, recovering a gun, ammunition, and a motorcycle.”

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested five suspects in connection with a reported case of “armed robbery,” “vandalism,” and theft at an international company located in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.

According to the police, the arrests were made during a coordinated operation carried out on the evening of December 8, 2025, by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu, in collaboration with personnel from the Neni Divisional Headquarters. The operation followed a sustained investigation into allegations of conspiracy and armed robbery involving the suspects.

During the operation, the police recovered one pump-action gun, ten live cartridges, and one black motorcycle, believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.

The arrested suspects were identified as Okemili Chikwado (20), Collins Nwakpa (23), Chukwuemeka Igboke (18), Nwali Chinedu (18), and Ekene Nwakwo (22).

Police sources disclosed that the suspects, during interrogation, confessed to their involvement in the criminal act and reportedly identified one Arinze as the principal receiver of the stolen items.

The Anambra State Police Command stated that investigations are ongoing, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend other fleeing suspects and recover additional stolen or vandalised equipment linked to the incident.

The Command reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state and urged members of the public to continue supporting law enforcement agencies with timely and credible information.
