Afaraukwu Ibeku PGs Reveal Hurdles Surrounding Nnamdi Kanu’s Parents’ Burial

The peaceful turn-out of events at the burial of HRH Eze Israel O. Kanu and his wife, Ugoeze Sally Kanu, the parents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB contradicting the envisioned pandemonium by some persons has left an indelible mark in the heart of millions of people.

Speaking with famous reporters, the president -generals of Afaraukwu who constituted the planning committee,  Engr. John Nwagwu, Chief Ikechukwu Ndubueze and chief Levi Ogbonna, amidst elation praised God for the serenity of the environment, describing the burial as a  successful that has left many in wonderment.

Engr. Nwagwu, President- general, Enyiukwu Autonomous community thanked the committee members whom he explained contributed immensely to the resounding victory, pointing out that the latter had from the onset worked collaborately with the community in order to correct all abnormalities that could facilitate the envisaged tension in the course of the ceremony.

Hear him: “the committee was constituted and I was made the chairman by the Ezes of Afaraukwu and actually I knew there would be hurdles but since I’m a bonafide son of Afaraukwu, I knew there must be a way also to overcame them”.

“In Afaraukwu Community, we have issues regarding presiden-generals and that brought a lot of differences among the immediate community and that was carried down to this burial but by his grace, we tried to manage everybody and we overcame”.

“Also, our brothers from IPOB, we tried let everyone know that what we were coming for was for the burial of our king and not for any agitation and they understood us and so we were able to carry out the burial”, he explained.

Corroborating, chief Ikechukwu Ndubueze, PG Isiama Afaraukwu, the host community expressed joy saying, “I’m happy because what people expected didn’t happen. God took over everything and may his name be praised”.

Also, Chief Levi Ogbonna, PG of Okwulaga Afaraukwu said: “I’m very happy that everything went peacefully contrary to human ideas. People worked very hard during preparations beginning from Afaraukwu council of Ndi Eze, PGs and some village chairmen to actualize this”.
