Abia Vigilante Bakasi Set Timber Market Ablaze, One Trader Feared Dead, 5 Injured

There is pandemonium currently at Umuahia Timber market, situated along Ahiaeke road, in Abia state, which has claimed the life of a trader, popularly Indomie’ dead, while 5 others were brutally injured.

This is as a result of the refusal of traders to comply with the PDP led government State over an imposed sum of #18,000 annual fee.

Reportedly, the state revenue board had ordered the marketers to shut down their shops with effect from today, Monday, June 7 as the latter who argued that the fee was outrageous and so could not comply.

Consequently, Abia state vigilante/Bakassi stormed the market to effect the order given by the revenue board which resulted in a clash.

The source revealed that the vigilante members shot one of the marketers popularly known as ‘Indomie’ dead, while 5 others were injured.
