The Abia State Town Union Association, (ASTUA), Lagos state branch has amidst pains, prayed for the quick recovery of the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikeazu to enable him continue and complement his assignments in the State.
The Union in a release signed by the President-General, ASTUA, Lagos, Prince Ejituru Ikenga, expressed utter shock at the current news of the hike in positive cases of the Covid 19 pandemic in Abia State and the subsequent result of the Governor, who regrettably tested positive to the virus.
The release read in detail:”The Association wishes the amiable Governor quick recovery so that he can continue with the good work he is doing in Abia State.”We also wish other Abians who have tested positive to the Covid 19 speedy recovery, and we have prayed the Almighty God that there shall be no fatalities.”We enjoin all Abians to observe the NCDC safety guidelines to avoid further spread of the virus. “Finally, the Association wishes to use this medium to congratulate the Executive Governor, the State Executive Council, and the Abia State Legislature headed by RT. Hon. Engr. Chinedu Orji on the first anniversary of your second term in office.”We pledge our unflinching support to the State Government in her efforts to make Abia State greater”, it srated.
