As Abia State government prepares for the forthcoming election into the chairmanship position across the 17 Local government areas of the state, a clarion call has been made, urging Abians to cast their votes in peace and harmony during the exercise.The call came shortly after the leadership of the ruling party, People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) handed her flags to the various candidates from each LGA, yesterday, at Trade Moore Event Center, Okpara Square, in Umuahia, the state’s capital, a perceived show of preparedness for the battle ahead, slated for December 18.Speaking in an exclusive interview with Famous Reporters, Chief Okey Kanu, the flag bearer of Ukwa West LGA emphasised the need for a tranquil atmosphere, insisting that nothing can be achieved in a catastrophic environment, as he charged the people of Ukwa West to embrace same.img 20201209 160034 41521650084401719711 scaledChief Kanu, who expressed utter confidence in his people, maintained that “a peaceful environment is needed and we have spoken enough because without peace we can’t do anything.
