A Life of Impact: The Remarkable Journey of Dr. Emeka Kalu
Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu is a renowned Nigerian philanthropist, and politician. Born in Amaogwu Village, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, he has made significant impacts in various fields.
Dr. Kalu attended Central School, Amaogwu, for his elementary education and Methodist College, Uzoakoli, for his secondary education. He later gained admission into Phoenix University, USA, where he studied Electrical Engineering.
As the CEO of Stercoll Group of Companies, Dr. Kalu has built a business empire with subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the US, providing technical, medical, and managerial services to offshore oil drilling and piping companies globally.
Through the ECK Foundation Worldwide, Dr. Kalu has empowered vulnerable groups, including widows, students, and the underprivileged, with humanitarian aid, scholarships, and empowerment programs.
Dr. Kalu’s commitment to public service has seen him serve as a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Director-General of Global Initiatives For Good Governance (GIGG).
His contributions have earned him several honors, including the prestigious title of Nna Oha Ndigbo from the Igbo community in Ghana, the chieftaincy title of Okpata Ozuora 1 Na Nibo, and the royal knighthood of Datuck Chief Emeka Kalu KCRSS from the Sultanate of Sulu and Saber.
