When you look at the other infrastructural developments in the state, we find there have been reasonable infrastructural developments. What we’re asking for, what I have in mind is what we call the Charter City of Aba which is a developmental stage which will combine the neighbouring states. But, about comparing Abia to any state, I’m not in position to talk about that.”On what the founding fathers had on their minds during the creation of the state far back on August 27, 1991 and the subsequent composition of the state’s anthem, he assured that the council was working assiduously towards its actualization, reiterating, “comparing states to another, I’m not in the position to do that. But, when we talk about government, it means you and I.”

He pointed out that the state which comprised three major cities, ranging from Umuahia, Aba and Ohafia could not be operating at a similar developmental level as some other sisters states that house only but a particular city, as he enjoined good spirited Abians to support the present administration in her effort to drive the state to her desired glorious heights.

Meanwhile, he disclosed that the Muslims in the state would tomorrow, observe a prayer section for the state, whereas the state, he revealed, would subsequently observe a thanksgiving service and the anniversary slated for August 23 and 27, respectively, with a pre- anniversary lecture, on the topic: COVID-19, Awareness, Impacts and Citizens’ Response in Abia state.

He urged Abians to adhere strictly to the various stipulated COVID-19 precautionary measures, when reminding them of the popular Abia Slogan, ‘God’s Own State’, hence the need to be ever law abiding.
Furthermore, he expressed a heart-felt gratitude to the the government of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for ensuring the observance of the annual event in spite of the pandemic, as je commended the state for the existing peace in the state. He used the medium to thank God Almighty for his healing miracle upon Governor Ikpeazu from the menace of COVID-19.
