HRH Eze Daniel N Egbeogu (KSM) Okwu- Ukwu Ezenma II of Okwuta Ibeku who appealed to Abians to comply with the government’s directives in order to ensure that the state would not experience the outbreak of the virus pointed out that the latter’s decision was in the interest of the masses.

Although the decision of the government to implement the sit-at-home order could be detrimental to the masses, the royal father insisted that the government’s decision was geared towards protecting and preserving the lives of the people.

“So am appealing to people to bear with the government and try to obey the directives which would make sure that this Corona virus is been chased away from our side.”

He enjoined the general public to maintain unity and brotherly love to be able to survive the present situation, saying that hunger could be managed more effectively than Coronavirus.

“You can easily go to your neighbour or friends or relatives around to beg for food and they will be kind enough to help you out but if Coronavirus comes, no body will help you out. So, I think the decision they have taken though it is painful to people but it’s very necessary.

“I think shutting down to observe for a while is a right step in a right direction. I am sure that the government will review the whole thing if they find out that the situation is becoming unbearable. The government is a human being they will look at the development  and react accordingly but it is my belief that this will not last long.”

“So we just have to see it as a situation that came to us, where you have to do everything to survive.”
