Accept Appeal Court Decision That You Can’t Be Sworn in As Abia Assembly Lawmaker— Hon Christian Ikechukwu Tells Uzodike Aaron

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) who was the Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in the 2016 Abia State Local Government Election Hon Christian Chinyeaka Ikechukwu has advised the Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) of the Aba North State Constituency Hon Aaron Uzodike to try again in 2027, to recontest as he declared that Hon Destiny Nwagwu remains the Representative of the People of Aba North State constituency till 2027.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja had in Appeal Number CA/OW/47M/2023/30/2023 ruled that Hon Aaron Uzodike cannot be sworn in.

Hon Christian wondered why Aaron Uzodike and his party are fighting over a lost battle when the Court of Appeal Abuja has stated in clear terms that the Appeal Court never gave an Order mandating the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly to swear him in.

He recalled that in 2017, the Abia State Chairmanship election Petition Tribunal and the High Court of Appeal sacked the then Executive Chairman and PDP Candidate for Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku from office and ordered for him(Hon Christian Chinyeaka )to be sworn, yet the Order of the Court was never obeyed till the end of that Tenure.

“What Aaron Uzodike and his party are doing are mere waste of time and resources, the Court of Appeal in Abuja has ruled in clear terms that there was no Order mandating the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly to swear him In”

“The Issue of swearing in Aaron Uzodike is not in the hands of the Speeker of the Abia State House of Assembly which ruled he was not mandated to swear anybody in to replace Hon Destiny Nwagwu”

“Destiny Nwagwu of the Labour Party remains the lawmaker representing Aba North State Constituency till 2027 wether AAron and his party likes it or not, they should accept this in Good faith because this lacuna in the Judgement has brought Destiny back to Power”

“When I defeated Ifeanyi Isikaku of the PDP in Court and was declared winner of the Chairmanship of Isiala Ngwa South, the PDP led Government then refused to obey both the Tribunal and the Appeal Verdict, so this is Karma playing its role”

“Destiny Nwagwu was Overwhelmingly voted into office and that is why God is not in support of the failed attempt to remove him through the back door, and in this case, Appeal Court has clearly stated it in clear terms” he said.

Hon Christian said he wrote several Petitions to the House of Assembly then over the case yet they refused to act on it because it was against a member of the then ruling Party(PDP).

It will be recalled that the Appeal Court in Abuja had ruled that it never gave any order for Hon Aaron of the PDP to be sworn in as a Lawmaker in Abia State House of Assembly.
