ABIA NORTH: Democratic Dividends Heightens As Senator Kalu Flags Distribution Of Educational Materials In Arochukwu
In Indefatigable advancement of his Legislative legacy of indelible impact, Senator Dr.Orji Uzor Kalu, on Tuesday the 10th day of October 2023 officially flagged-off the free Distribution of Educational materials for Arochukwu LGA.
The senator who was represented by Barr Victor Etie and Hon Chukwu Ndem the senior legislative Aide and legislative Assistants respectively to the Distinguished Senator at the event held at Uruji Comprehensive secondary school and community primary school all in Amuru Abam in Arochukwu LGA of Abia state Nigeria.
The students, pupils, parents, and community leaders who received the team were all in Joyous mood and highly ecstatic, they commended the senator for his unwavering love for Education, recalling that when he was a governor he put Education first by making it free at all levels and providing welfare for teachers by prompt payment of salaries, emoluments ETC and has continued in the same dimension as a Lawmaker through his numerous interventions in Education such as construction and renovations of various classroom blocks across Abia North and beyond, provisions of free Educational materials to students, provisions of reading tables and desk to various schools etc.
A community leader Mr Alladin Chukwu who was present at the Flagg off, recalled his experience when Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was governor, in his words, “Education took the pride of place In Abia during senator Orji Uzor kalu’s tenure as governor and he is now replicating and even surpassing same as governor”, he asked for God’s protection and guidance on the Distinguished Senator, Describing him as the light of Abia North and Abia in General.
Mrs Ema Paul and Mr .N. MBA, the principal of Uruji Comprehensive secondary School and community primary School, Amuru Abam who spoke for their various schools, expressed immense gratitude to the Distinguished Senator for coming to their aids, they lamented that most students have been finding it difficult to cope in school due to lack of Educational materials like schools bags, text books and Exercise books, but Thank God for the person of the Distinguished Senator who have provided all these Items free of charge for the students, thereby curbing the burden on the parents in this precarious time. they wished the Distinguished Senator God’s protection always. expressing further the duo of Mrs Ema Paul and Mr N MBA said that this is the first time anyone is bringing free Educational materials to their school, saying that OUK as the senator is fondly called, is indeed God sent.
Among Educational Items freely given to the schools are Assorted Schools bags, textbooks of various subjects, exercise books of various leaves.
The Free Distribution of Educational materials are currently ongoing across various communities in Arochukwu LGA.
