Ayo Ogunsan Celebrate With Kayode Egbetokun On New Promotion As Dig Southwest
*Expresses confidence in excellent delivery

The member of the board of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan is delighted about the new promotion and position which DIG Kayode Egbetokun is saddled with in the Nigeria Police. The senior police officer, Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun who is now the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) of Police in charge of Southwest was the lone AIG who became DIG in the latest promotions within the Nigeria Police.
Speaking on the positive development, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan who doubles as the Patron of Police-Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Lagos expressed his delight about the newly promoted DIG Kayode Egbetokun. He noted: ‘DIG Kayode Egbetokun has proven time and again that he is an exemplary police officer. As the AIG of Zone 7 Abuja; CP (Admin) Medical, Falomo Lagos; CP Kwara State Command; Commander Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Lagos in 2005 to 2007 and other previous engagements, DIG Kayode Egbetokun has shown commitment to community-driven policing, operational standard, on-the-job professionalism, and quality service delivery.’
Ogunsan expressed assurance about his capacity to deliver. ‘Egbetokun is a vibrant officer. He is thoroughbred. He is dedicated to the Police ideals. On this lofty role, I am assured that he will deliver excellence.’
DIG Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun joined the Nigeria Police Force on 3rd March 1990 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, Course 16. Trek Africa Newspaper can report that he served in several positions within the Force including AIG of Zone 7 Abuja; CP (Admin) Medical, Falomo Lagos; CP Kwara State Command; CP Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD); and CP Servicom, FHQ Abuja.
Other past roles include Deputy Commandant, Police College, Ikeja; Commandant Police Traning School, Ikeja, Lagos; Area Commander Gusau Zamfara State; Area Commander Osogbo, Osun State; CSP “A” Lagos State Command; OC Anti Fraud FCT Command; Squadron Commander 5 PMF Benin, Edo state; and Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Lagos.
DIG Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun is a well-read police officer. He studied BSc (ed) Mathematics at the University of Lagos. He holds Masters of Science degree in Engineering Analysis, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Petroleum Economics from Delta State University and MBA degree of Lagos state University. He has also attended several courses locally and internationally.
