A Muslim Man has berated Ahmad Gumi, Islamic cleric for ever insinuating that “herdsmen’s crimes weigh significantly lesser than those of IPOB.”
The anonymous writer who without mincing words, stated his affiliation with the Muslim religion, while reacting to Gumi’s interview on Arise TV, as published on TheCable, condemned in totality the Gumi’s perceived defense for the menacing activities of Fulani still and Boko Haram insurgents in this country, over the years.
The anonymous writer without fear or favour called for the immediate arrest of the Cleric “for reckless comments like this”, recounting on the innumerable number of lives that have been hacked by bandit, Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram insurgents.

“Gumi I think you should be arrested for reckless comments like this I as a Muslim, I totally disagree with you and I blame the news channels for giving you audience to air . Are you blind to the killings the Bandits are causing so you have an idea how many people this Bandits have killed just in Niger state tankless of Kaduna. In my court of law I’ll rather sentence a Bandit to death million times over than to send an IPOB member to death once at least they feel left out in the country and they want out so do u want them to go kill civilians please keep your mouth shot if you’re not saying anything alkheiri”
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that the Cleric who is known to have access to bandits has earlier today, Wednesday, on Arise TV said “it is unfair to compare the activities of criminal herdsmen with those of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).”
Gumi went further to call for “fairness” in the comparison between the two groups, arguing that one “is killing our gallant men” while the other is “kidnapping children to make money and not to kill them”.
“IPOB is attacking the police, the army, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other government institutions; killing our men in service,” he said.
”And the herdsmen are kidnapping children not to kill them but to get money; so how can you compare somebody who is killing our gallant men directly to somebody who is kidnapping children to make money and not to kill them. Look, we need some fairness in what we are doing.”
Bandits have kidnapped over 800 school children across the north since December 2020.
“The security challenge has led to the death several students, notably the killing of five Greenfield University students.”
“Since IPOB launched its militia arm called Eastern Security Network (ESN) a few months ago, attacks on security operatives and government infrastructure have surged. A number of security operatives have been killed by the militia.”
