The incumbent chairman of Ikwere Local Governmemt Area and the of Rivers state, and PDP candidate for the April 17, 2021 Local Government Chairmanship Election, Hon. Nwanosike Samuel (JP) has charged Nigerians to always show interest in the electioneering process to enable them elect their choice of candidates into various offices.

The People Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate who is opting for a re-election, in the April 2021 LG election, lauded the massive turn out of voters for the ongoing election, in the various local governments of the state.

The people-oriented leader reiterated the need for the participation of all eligible Nigerians in electioneering process so as to ensure that “their choice of candidates are voted in.”

Continuing, he said: This is the problem with Nigerians. We create problems for ourselves and we still cry. When we keep quiet, other people will who have interest will manipulate the election and then we begin to look for whom to blame. I want to encourage everyone who means well for Rivers state and Nigerians to always to come out and vote for their choicest candidates during elections.

“People should come out of exercise their franchise and stop stop sitting in their bedrooms to complaint”, he insisted.

The chairman who applauded the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for her credible performance, disclosed that the Electoral Materials arrived early at the various polling units.

“The electoral materials arrived early even before the arrival of voters. You can also see security agents whose job is to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.”

On his impression about the election, he said:
“The process has been seamless and quiet. Nobody is being molested and so no one is complaining. People have come out in mass to vote for their candidates. And I think, I’m impressed with the turnout”, he said.

He used the medium to commend the Executive Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Nyesom Wike on the massive achievements of his admission, describing him as a “Capacity Governor”, who has left notable footprints in the sands of time.

He, therefore, enjoined Riverines to relentlessly show solidarity to the Wike led administration, saying it will enable him do more in terms of infrastructural development, as well as other aspects craving for government’s attention.

Meanwhile, Hon. Nwanosike in his remarks, pledged his unflinching commitment towards ensuring that he provides the good people of Ikwere with dividends of democracy.

Similar, the Member representing Ikwere Federal Constituency, Hon. Boniface commended the people for coming out massively to participate in the exercise at Unit 002, Ward 12, in Ikwere local government area.

“As you can see, the turnout is quite impressive and voting is going on and it is very peaceful.”

He, however, appealed to other eligible citizens of the state to visit the Bari polling units in order to exercise their franchise.

“My advice is for those of my people who are still at their homes to come out and cast their votes. As you can see, there’s no violence anywhere.”

Meanwhile, our FamousReporters observed that the number one citizen of the state and PDP leader was no where to be found at his unit, in Obiakpo LGA.

It was, however, gathered from the electorates that the Governor had earlier driven past the polling unit and had promises to return to cast his vote, a promise that could scarcely see the light of the day.

Journalists from various stations were seen at some vantage positions, with a view to capturing the Governor but their expectations were met with a shocked disappointment, as they watched in almost an open-mouthed horror the PDP’s agent, High chief Evidence N. Owabie and representatives of Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission stuff the electoral materials in readiness for their departure, on the stroke of 2:30pm.
